The Bon Ton Cafe was a popular restaurant in downtown Jackson for over 50 years, from 1960 to 2013, located on the Mississippi Blues Trail.

The restaurant was known for its Cajun and Creole cuisine, with dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and seafood étouffée on the menu. The Bon Ton Cafe was also famous for its red velvet cake, which was a popular dessert among its customers.
However, the building that housed the Bon Ton Cafe has since fallen into disrepair and is now in ruins. It appears to have been abandoned and neglected for some time, and there is currently no roof.

It’s unclear what exactly happened to the building after the restaurant closed in 2013; it has suffered damage in some form, perhaps a fire.
